UA Giving Day 2023 is Feb. 22 and 23. The University is calling it “49 Hours for Alaska” but we see it as an opportunity to have “49 Hours for Seawolf Hockey.”
A donation of any amount to Seawolf Hockey will help unlock additional funding through matches and challenges throughout the UA Giving Day movement.
If you have $10, $25 or more, please give to support our Division I Hockey program. By donating to Seawolf Hockey during UA Giving Day, you can help us unlock more than $20,000 to go to the Excellence in Hockey fund. This money will directly support the team in coming seasons. Here’s how:
- UAA Hockey Challenge: When 50 donors give to the Excellence in Hockey fund, then Seawolf super fans Joe Alston and Diana Campbell will give $1,000 to the Excellence in Hockey fund!
- UAA Hockey 5th Line Challenge: When 100 donors give to the Excellence in Hockey fund, the Seawolf 5th Line Committee will donate $20,000 to the Excellence in Hockey fund!
- $1,000 UAA Athletic Director Challenge: When UAA Athletics funds receive 250 donors, Ryan Swartwood, Director of Athletics at UAA, and his wife Chio Swartwood, will unlock $1,000 to the Athletic Excellence fund.
- $3,500 Business Social Media Drawing – A drawing entry for each business social media account post that uses #49hoursforAlaska and links to one of the UAA Giving Day webpages. May be combined with other games, like social media challenges.
